What is a Transliteration Slip?
Transliteration slips provide you with publication information about LOTE titles in English. A visual example is provided below.
What DVD region do I need?
REGION 1 - USA and Canada
REGION 2 - Europe, South Africa, Japan, Middle East and Greenland
REGION 3 - Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong and parts of South East Asia
REGION 4 - New Zealand, Australia and Latin America (including Mexico)
REGION 5 - Russia, Eastern Europe, India & Africa
REGION 6 - China
REGION 7 - Reserved for Unspecified Special Use
REGION 8 - Reserved for Airlines, Cruise Ships, etc.
REGION 0 or REGION ALL - Discs are uncoded and can be played Worldwide. PAL discs, however, must be played in a PAL-compatible unit, and NTSC discs must be played in an NTSC-compatible unit. You can now watch ANY DVD on a multi region DVD player.
